Published Study

In September 2008, the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine published "Using an ROI Estimation Model to Evaluate Outcomes from an Obesity Management Worksite Health Promotion Program" which demonstrated a credible and practical measurement method and a positive return-on-investment of 1.17 to 1.00 in the first year on the fees paid by payors for the Healthyroads Coaching program. The study, co-authored by representatives from Thomson Reuters and Healthyroads, also demonstrated significant decreases in risk prevalence for participants' poor eating habits (21.3% reduction) and poor physical activity (15.1% reduction). All of the biometric measures related to overweight and obesity also decreased, including percent overweight or obese (5.8% reduction), weight (4.5 pounds reduction), and body mass index (0.9 reduction).
